The Cabin

The Woodland Cabin is set on the edge of a forest near the beautiful small village of Abbey St Bathans, just 1 hour south of Edinburgh. Come and relax in the woods with a book or grab your hiking boots or bikes and explore the surrounding countryside. We're a 20 minute drive from the coast which has stunning cliff top walks and beautiful little bays and fishing villages.
 
The cabin has a large sitting/dining room with a wood burning stove which is very easy to light and quickly warms up the whole place. A lot of the internal wood like the floor, shelves and fittings are from trees from my father's forests which are processed in our sawmill which is 3 minutes down the road.
 
The kitchen is stocked with oil, salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee etc. The nearest supermarket is 7 miles away so please come with food if you're wanting to cook. There is also a BBQ set up outside. If you have a car there are plenty of pubs and restaurants in Duns and Berwick.
 
We will be doing short term lets through the autumn/winter, so get in touch if you would like to stay for longer.
